I'm a big fan of Madden and NBA, and typically follow their forums just a few weeks before the new game comes out. They typically begin a countdown until the day the game is released. Right now there are 43 days left until Black Ops 2 comes out. I thought we could give this countdown a try on these forums. I realize that it will be difficult to do compared to sports. They post pictures of jersey numbers that correlate to the number of days left until the game comes out. Feel free to elaborate on your post, if the image or your words aren't obvious.

MULTIPLE PEOPLE CAN POST FOR THE SAME DAY!

The rules are:
- You can use stats or info from any COD title
- It can be single player, zombies, survival, multiplayer or a combination of the two
- Two numbers can be added together. Ex: If there are five days left, you can add two things together such as the 3 perk from cod 4 and the claymore perk from cod 4 granted 2 claymores. Therefore if you add 3 + 2 you get 5 days.
- Try to use this sparingly if possible.
- Have fun and be creative.
- Post images when you can, if there large place them in spoilers please!

I will get us started. The Gewehr 43 from WAW. :)

I was hoping someone would start a countdown! Since I don’t feel like waiting 24 hours until I can update it I’ll just add 43 reasons to be excited. Yes 43!

lol well thank you. I must admit towards the end I was really stretching it. Some joke options to be sure. I figured this would be a light hearted thread so why not!

This game would be perfect if it only featured a robot horse ridden by a dog as a killstreak. ;)

The thread is in no way redundant, just because he posted his rendition of the countdown doesn't mean no one else can add their own pieces, or do their own rendition.

There is nothing wrong with what foxxy did, he spent a lot of time on it. I think what JS98912 is saying you are suppose to post one for each day coinciding with the number of days left. Now, that means people can post multiple examples in one day as long as they are different. It's suppose to be a countdown so we would have examples every day and this thread would go on until Nov. 13 when the game comes out. But let's all be chill there is nothing wrong and we can continue this. JS you can just use different examples as the days progress then what foxxy did. No big deal.

The following is the location for the 41 piece of Intel for Modern Warfare 2.

Act III: Just Like Old Times

41. As you enter the tunnels, go left as instructed. After the patrol passes, kill the guard standing at the monitor, and go straight across to find the Intel on a crate just to the right of the cave entrance.

Its the 7th October where I live now, which means 36 days until Black Ops 2. So, heres a few to keep us going...

[The part that has the 36 in it is highlighted in each scenario]

A much loved classic, the MAS 36 rifle from Call of Duty 2: The Big Red One. A bolt-action rifle with iron sights, something we're going to see a lot more of in Black Ops 2!

Spoiler

Black Ops 2 will mark 6 major Call of Duty titles, 3 each by each individual publisher. These are Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 [by Infinity Ward] and Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 [by Treyarch]

In Call of Duty: Black Ops, if you exclude the 'map' 'Dead Ops Arcade' (which isn't really a map anyway), there are 36 maps that have been released across the entire game's lifespan, including Zombie maps. The first 16 released with the game (14 multiplayer, Kino der Toten and "Five") and then all of the DLC maps, which end with Moon rounding it off to 36.

Level 36 features in all of the COD games, and unlocks different features in each one (with two notable exceptions). Heres a list:

Modern Warfare
-Nothing-

World at War
- Level 36 - Double Tap perk

Modern Warfare 2
- Level 36 - WA2000 Sniper Rifle

Call of Duty: Black Ops
-Nothing-

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
- Level 36 - Skorpion Machine Pistol

Thats all from me for now - enjoy. Only just over a month to go! :D

[EDIT] - Just noticed Foxxy already stole the MAS 36 one. Ah well, the others are all completely unique. :)

"No life" is relative. Have you thought that perhaps it was fun for Fox? In which case more power to him. The truly sad aspect of all of this is you making fun of someone that you don't even know, over the internet for a pathetic reason. That's far more of a "no life" thing to do in my opinion.

My apologies for contributing to the derailment of this otherwise entertaining thread. Back on topic then people!

How is enjoying replying to a topic and doing some research about Call of Duty 'pretty sad' and an example of 'no life'? What correlation does that have to anything to do with real life? If I find a topic thoroughly interesting, I may return to it several times over the course of a few weeks, to give several replies and my opinions. That doesn't mean I'm sad, it just means that I enjoy replying to that particular topic. All that Foxxy said was that it 'took him 2 hours to write/post'. Doesn't necessarily mean he wrote those entire two hours out in one sitting, does it? You can save posts and come back to them through Notepad/Microsoft Word/other word processors.

Honestly, I don't really get why that makes him sad/a no life. I dread to think what you must think of me, what with my post count and the amount of times I've prestiged in different COD games.

Point is, don't knock people for being passionate about something. I'm sure you're passionate about things too, buddy.
___________________________________________

Some more facts for day #36:

- Activision, publishers of the Call of Duty series, have signed a deal with Microsoft, creators of the Xbox 360. As a result, all 360 players now get their DLC earlier than other consoles.

This next one may be a little off, so excuse me if I'm wrong...

- Across the three most recent Call of Duty titles - (MW2, Black Ops, MW3), six maps have made a welcome return. Vacant, Strike, Overgrown and Crash all made a return from COD4 in MW2 (4), while Black Ops saw the return of World at War map Cliffside (albeit in an altered form as Hazard) (1). In MW3, Infinity Ward brought back Terminal from MW2. (1)

This means the previous 3 games have reintroduced 6 maps to the game. ;)

- If you exclude the crossbow, and include every other weapon (handguns, shotguns, sniper rifles, LMGs, SMGs and Assault Rifles), then 36 weapons will appear in Black Ops II's Multiplayer Mode. More have been planned for the Zombie Mode (Olympia) and the campaign (Commando, M16, AK-47, etc.)

Thats all for now, enjoy! :D

Going back to the ORIGIN.

In the original Call of Duty, two missions of the Russian campaign involve the player commanding a T-34/85 Medium Tank (mentioned in the level's introduction letter) and engaging German armor through open country and a bombed-out town. The in-game tank also had a hull mounted machine gun that automatically fired whenever there was infantry in front of the tank.
