http://www.eurogamer.net/expo/

The UK's biggest and best games event takes place this September 27-30 at Earls Court, London. Early bird tickets are now on sale.

Here's what to expect at the show:
  • Hands-on gaming on console, PC and handhelds
  • Indie Games Arcade
  • Retro Zone
  • Developer Sessions
  • Tournaments
  • Cosplay
  • Community meet-ups and parties
  • The GamesIndustry Fair including careers and education
  • ...and more!
A group of Digital Warfare 24/7 members plan on attending this expo, and have already purchased tickets, myself included. If there are any of you guys out there that think that they could make this thing, post down below, purchase your tickets and prepare for an awesome expo!

Also we are going to plan a pub crawl at some point so you might want to come for that! :P

We recommend buying the 4-day Super Pass with Early Entry (10am - 7pm) which is only £40 ($60, €50).

University classes don't start until October buddy. You could always cut some Freshers weekends to spend some quality time with us.

Danny
Midnight
Neasy
Woody
Systemlogic
Miner90 (If only for the drinks ;) )

Myself, Woody and Midnight went to GAMEFest last year and that was a lot of fun, more of the same for Eurogamer!

I know I have been wondering why they will want me there mid September :L How un fresh do they think we are :L My girlfriend does not have to be at her uni till October.

And it will mostly depend on how much train fares cost which is why I won't decide until summer when I will know for sure how much money I will have then.

One of us could meet you at St Pancras. The Underground is pretty easy to get your head around but can seem daunting at first.

This man speaks the truth. I'm flying from Manchester Airport and I'm paying £70 whereas a return ticket for a train costs pretty much the same, takes at least twice as long and changes over about 3 or 4 times.

Pub crawl suggestion 01:

Thames River.

Posted Image

At Earls Court where Eurogamer is (bottom left corner of the map above) we start our journey towards east stopping at every station and having 1/2 pint at each stop. For the ones naive enough to think 1/2 pint is for sissies you're welcome to have a full pint then. We'll go from pub to pub till we reach Westminster where we should shift for a little walk on the south bank. For the half pinters we will have had 3 pints each and the full pinters 6. The latter group will be drunk and starting to behave stupidly.

In the south bank my suggestion is to have another drink in a very posh and elegant pub close to the Big Ben where we can also take some pictures of this monument. Then a little further tickets for the London Eye are on me, I'll be sponsoring these. It is a cool short walk till Embankment the next station where I suggest we have a quick glass of port wine at Gordon's. It is a cool place where only locals go. After that we could take the underground to Temple and head to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, a 17th century pub with some local beers, cheap and delicious. After 5pm we can sit in the basement that have a catacomb aspect. We could well have a couple of drinks here before heading further east stopping at each station for another 1/2 pint till we reach monument/tower hill were we can then have a look at the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Roman City Wall and the City Hall.

I think this is a good program, we will be well above 8 pints of beer then, happy, drunk and we will have explored a good chunk of the Thames. What do you guys think?

Spoiler

Sound good to me, though here's another suggestion.

Pub crawl suggestion 02:

East End.

Posted Image

It's not a long tube journey from Earls Court to Aldgate. I know the area somewhat since it's where my University campus is. Brick Lane is close by which means excellent curries, and a guaranteed free pint with the meal! We can, after the curry, head north to Shorditch where there are many more pubs. There is even a 60's bar by Old Street that, last time I went there, played Clockwork Orange on the TV. If that's your guys' scene, then we could go I guess. :P

I'm up for either pub crawl. I think we should let the London newbies decide.

That would be good the ever kind people of DW, I will have to think about it, like I said I will decide in the summer. And those train times are unrealistic it would want me to catch trains at the exact same time I get off trains.
