would like to know what level mw3 goes up to, i heard 80

also if you know how many prestige's or what they look like (pictures and etc)

Yea there 80 levels and no prestige icons have been realeased or leaked or how many there are.

But, 10 prestiges make no sense! There are 15 prestige rewards counting using extra class slot five times, I don't think they would make us choose what never to have.

Logic tells me there are 15 prestiges.

80 levels i think is a bit too much but at least it will add to more replay time for people. Hopefully IW has taken time to make better prestige emblems that are worth gunning for.

They won't just give us ONE extra class slot though! Why has no one realised this?!? Most likely you can use extra class five times, as usual, meaning FIFTEEN prestiges.

At first I thought 15 prestiges too with the extra classes and what not but I think that is wayy too much. My safe bet would be 10 prestiges with either 4 classes free as you prestige (like WaW,MW2,BO) or the reward IS 5 extra classes. But 15 prestiges is like I said, wayyy too many levels. I mean I like CoD and all but shit I, and most people actually have better things to so with my life than play that much. Unless the leveling system is changed (current XP gain multiplied by 2.5) I say 10. Also Wtf ANOTHER skull. I'm not gonna lie when MW2 10th was revealed I thought it was sexy until I saw all emblems/titles were skull crazy. Then BO did the same and now I just wanted a nice BADGE, no cartoon animals or skulls.

not true for everyone. i love cod, and play everyday. i hated black ops so i still play mw2, every day. i've been a tenth prestige level 70 for over a year (before Blops released) and im bored of it. I think there will be 15 prestiges, and i think there is so many levels so people play the game longer. you don't have to play 24/7 to reach 15th prestige level 80..... shit if mw2 had 15 prestiges and 80 levels i would have reached it probably 8 or 9 months ago (keeping in mind i don't play Blops and play mw2 for 1-2hrs a day).

Yes but remember how long each MW2 level took you to prestige? It took much longer than Blops. Being MW3 and IW I make my assumption based on their previous title MW2.

True it did take forever to get from 62ish to 70.

Lol yeah xD so I'm not the only one that dies 1 before my streaks constantly lol. Well in MW2 I was 7th prestige with 14 days played and in BO I was 15th prestige at 10 1/2 days played. I'm assuming I'd get to 10th on MW2 at 20 days (seeing as it took me about 2 days to prestige each time). Now I don't want it to take 20 days lol but I don't want it to be as short as BO either. I'd be fine at about 15 days to max prestige now that I realized that lol

Yeah I know but I didn't say everyone, some people do have that much free time and enjoy spending it playing video games (like I do). I'm just saying that to reach 15th prestige with 80 levels each would require a lot of dedication and time considering a CoD games' lifespan is supposed to last from 9 months to a year. 20+ days playtime to do that seems like too much imo. And I love playing CoD too, I reached 30+ days on CoD 4 (in 2 years, hated WaW MP) so I can understand where you're coming from.

As far as the time it takes to rank up in MW3, you have to keep in mind that they have adjusted the leveling curve so it isn't as much of a grind once you get to the higher levels...or so they have said anyway.

The more i read about MW3 the less likely it becomes that i will prestige at all, the advantages of your ranked up guns and the difficulty of unlocking things compared to black ops jus makes it hardly seem worth prestiging.

Espcially if your player card stuff doesnt stay with you when you prestige, if you cant keep that then theres no way I will.

I agree with the others in here on how ugly/weird/stupid (I think all three) the skull thing is. The gold cross in COD4 was way better than the 10th skull coin in MW2.

I guess the guy who designed the skull emblem/titles at IW must be EMO...

My whole perspective about the gold cross is that its lost its meaning. Before in CoD4, if you were a 10th prestige level 55, you were pretty much a hard ass. People were actually intimidated by the gold cross. Its not as cool as it used to be anymore. The game is to easy unfortunately now to be considered good just by hitting max prestige..

Agreed. Specialist Killstreak, Pro Perks, and all weapons are worth much more then the copy paste of older emblems and 10+ Days of hassle. Find out what perk combos and guns you find best and 5 classes is enough for anyone.

I personally think prestiging should go back to CoD4 style, where it was more meaningful. As for extra classes, just buy them w/ CoD points (I love 3arc's idea of CoD points).

Lastly, The Gold Cross is a reference to the Navy Cross, second highest honor someone in the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps.

That is how CoD4 used to be. I miss those days. The intimidation factor was probably the coolest thing to see. My group of people that I play with all pushed each other into getting 10th prestige, level 55 on CoD4, just so we could intimidate everyone. Would you stay in a game very long when you're playing against an entire team of gold crosses? Most people left before the first 2 minutes. I think we would go through about 4 different teams in one match at that time.
